Yeah...first you lul us with the sense of countryside beauty, now you finally post the photos of how insidious this bridge can be. Look at the death-water, waiting to grab the non-swimmer at a moments' notice. And how can a bridge that's been soaking in water for days retain it's structural integrity? Besides, my life insurance company won't insure me for making "risky" choices, such as hang-gliding, skydiving, and killer-bridge-crossing.
The bridge isn't insidious. But the river is dang scary, isn't it?!!! I wish I had had my camera with me when the water was over the end of the bridge. I admit driving across the bridge when the river is flooded is a bit.....exhilarating. The roar of the water is unreal. I am actually more nervous crossing the bridge when it is covered with ice.
