Substance

Seems I spent an entire week posting about outward appearance which is rather unusual for me. I don't have time to get a good story written tonight so I will post one of my favorite quotes to add some substance to the face of my blog.

"Understanding is the reward of faith. Therefore seek not to understand that you may believe, but believe that you may understand." St. Augustine

Good morning, Songbird. Thanks for the quote. Sometimes something as simple as a quote from St. Augustine is more than enough for a post.

Good quote, I totally do that in the wrong order (I always seek to understand everything first). Something to think about...

Wait, our blogs are supposed to have substance???!!! No one told me that :)

I think your stories do have substance, even when they're about superficial matters. I'm sorry your student didn't win. I also have a student I work with who does pageants, and she never wins either and I always think, "Who was the winner then?" because this young woman is beautiful inside and out, and I can't imagine that doesn't stand out for the judges!

Those Saints sure do have thought twisting things to say! I like this, though I never practice it.
